The first night of October brought some frightfully talented musicians to Fremont’s High Dive. Cullen Gray and Anthony Lee Phillips brought some acoustic stylings to the first two acts, respectively, and newly-formed band Gallaway closed out the evening with a host of musical guests.

Guitar finger-stylist Cullen Gray kicks off the night.
This is Gray's first show after returning to Seattle from the East Coast.
Gray entertains the intimate crowd with his classically-trained guitar work.
Gray utilizes multiple effects pedals to loop and distort his acoustic guitar, creating a rich sound.
Duende, Gray's debut album and latest release, came out in January 2017.
Gray graduated from Cornish in 2014 with a degree in classical guitar.
With the various layers Gray creates, his sound is anything but desaturated.
Gray thanks the audience and heads off stage.
Anthony Lee Phillips (center), with 3/4 of his usual band, takes up the second slot.
Local singer-songwriter Natalie Paige backs up Phillips on bass.
Phillips's latest album is titled Need More Coffee. Don't we all.
Trumpeter Andrew Forbes gets intense.
The band takes a moment of introspection.
Phillips brings the night's headliner, Jesse Gallaway, on stage for a duet.
Phillips gets into it, with steady backing from Paige.
Forbes watches on and plays while Phillips sings to the crowd.
After an energetic set, Phillips and company sign off.
Jesse Gallaway headlines the evening with his new band, Gallaway.
Bassist Esau Flores grooves along with Gallaway.
The crowd gathers near the stage and boogies.
Eric Groszman provides an energetic backing to Gallaway's vocals.
One good turn deserves another, as Gallaway invites Phillips back on stage for another duet.
Groszman takes a break to introduce his plush friend, Phil Albert O'Fish, aka Phil A. O'Fish.
Gallaway brings out another musical guest, sax player Seven Sky Spillios.
Another guest, Jessie Thoreson, joins on backing vocals.
Gallaway brings a fun, friendly energy to Fremont and leaves the crowd wanting more than the one encore they got.
