Sunday night, Lyle played a haunting and dramatic show at Columbia City Theater to celebrate the release of their debut EP, Coward. With support from local pop-rock duo Alki and Denver multi-instrumentalist Covenhoven, the night proved a successful launch.

Seattle pop-rock duo Alki takes the stage first.
The band has consisted of up to four members in the past (with a bassist and drummer joining the ranks), but now the integration of more electronic instrumentation allows the band to perform with only two members.
Jonny Lee takes a break from the guitar to twist some knobs.

Danny Castro is the lead singer for the project, as well as holding down some of the electronics and the tom drum.

Alki's self-titled EP came out in May of 2016.

Covenhoven is the musical moniker of Denver-based multi-instrumentalist Joel Van Horne.

This show marks the middle leg of Van Horne's West coast tour.

Van Horne used a looping pedal with his guitar to subtly expand his sound while moving between singing, electronic piano, and guitar.
Covenhoven's music is spacious and soulful.
Van Horne has released three LPs since 2013. His latest release is a three-track EP, Windowsill Sessions, Vol. 1, from May 2019.
Van Horne has a stoic stage presence that sits atop the thoughtful lyrics and emotional depth of the songs.
Near the end of the set, Van Horne uses an organic electronic pad on the keys, using a number of effect pedals while he soulfully accompanies himself on guitar.
Lyle takes the stage with a dramatic entrance. The lights are low as they begin with the first single from the new EP, 2018's "Get Me."
This show was the release party for their new EP, Coward.
The band's violinist, Natalie Gray, celebrates the moment.
Co-lead singer Arthur James takes the mic.
James is the band's lead guitarist, as well as one-half of the songwriting talent.
Lana McMullen shares the co-lead singing and songwriting roles with James.
James thanks the audience with his typical dry humor.
The band's intense and unique take on "Zombie," originally by The Cranberries, was particularly memorable.
Lyle wraps up a successful release.
