Formerly known as Out To Lunch, Downtown Summer Sounds, a free concert series sponsored by Virginia Mason, hosted local bands Hoop and Drench Fries on Thursday at City Hall. Drench Fries started the lunch hour with their indie-chill vibe, and Hoop finished out the show with a cast of rotating instrumentalists.

Drench Fries comes out onto the stage and opens up a beautiful afternoon of Summer Sounds.
After strutting on the guitar, lead vocalist Levi Nattrass shows us what he can do with a piano.
Josh Kazebee compliments the music with his own soothing guitar playing.
The streets of Seattle are awoken and begin to trickle in the more Drench Fries plays.
As Drench Fries gathers their belongings, the crowd applauds them and some new fans go up to the stage to compliment their work.
Hoop arrives on the stage next.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Caitlin Roberts is all smiles as the band begins their first song.
Madelyn Byrd sways to the music and brings out the sun as she plays guitar.
Temperatures continue to rise with Allyson Foster on bass.
Inge Chiles on the drums.
Hoop laughs off the roaring of the Blue Angels flying above their set, signifying the first day of August.
Roberts ends a song with a guitar solo that brings life to the crowd.
The members switch roles, with Foster handing over her bass to Byrd and taking over lead vocals.
Byrd plays the bass like the breeze dancing around the stage.
The roles switch further with Chiles stepping forward to have her turn with the bass guitar.
To complete the exchange, Foster steps back to the drums where she starts the beat for Hoop's final song.
Roberts thanks the audience for coming out one last time to conclude this Summer Sounds session.
