In celebration of their May 3rd EP, This Mess is a Place, Tacocat played an in-store performance at Sonic Boom Records. Their fourth full length album, which focuses the band’s upbeat sound on the conflict within the current political climate, is their first with Sub Pop. In true Tacocat form, the short-but-sweet set was filled with bouncy energy and fun riffs.

Tacocat kicks off their in-store show at Sonic Boom Records to celebrate the launch of their new album, This Mess is a Place.
This Mess is a Place features snarky lyrics reflecting the dark times of the current political climate while maintaining Tacocat's upbeat, energetic, pop-punk sensibilities.
This Mess is a Place is the band's fourth full-length album and their first with Sub Pop.
Vocalist Emily Nokes sings and dances with great energy even on a small stage.
Bassist Bree McKenna smiles while laying down a steady driving bass line with her heart-shaped bass.
Guitarist Eric Randall provides upbeat and catchy melodies during the performance of tracks from their new album.
Nokes loses herself to the band's bouncy and bubbly tunes that fans have come to love.
Although drummer Lelah Maupin was buried at the back of the stage, her driving drumbeats were felt throughout the entire set.

Formed in 2007, the band continues to sell out shows from basements and dive bars to large venues.
